Location: The Tel-Hai Museum of Photography Imaginarium is a world of imagination and subconscious.
It’s a place where tough questions are asked – existential questions that help us to look inside ourselves, into the farthest corners of our souls. Who are we? Why did we come into this world? What is beauty? How to preserve our uniqueness?
At the exhibition of the artist
Dina Bova you will not find definitive and clear-cut answers or ready-made recipes. However, we believe that feelings that you'll experience will remain inside you and excite your imagination long after the exhibition. You will keep asking yourself these questions and seek your own answers ...
In Imaginarium you will encounter some strange or even absurd characters, but all these characters are echoes of real events and real emotions.
Imaginarium talks about the following concepts:
1.
Allegories and Modern Mythology - a glance at the philosophical truths of the 21st century concerning who we are and what our lives mean. In various times, various philosophical concepts were expressed by artists in an allegorical form. The allegories that Dina created express modern philosophical concepts that are important to us today.
2.
"Eyes Wide Shut" - a strange and contradictory world of the subconscious and a reminder about the fragility and vulnerability of the human soul. What resides deep in our subconscious? Do we understand ourselves and what is in our hearts, or do we simply look into ourselves with our eyes wide shut?
3.
"It's about Time” - thoughts about the concept of time and dealing with the routine with composer and musician
Yossi Sassi4.
"The mythology of Orphaned Land" - thoughts about philosophy and mysticism, inspired by the Bible, with the musicians of the famous rock band -
Orphaned Land.
5.
"Between Past and Future" – stories from women’s world dealing with the woman as a source of new life, about the doubts, the fears, the hopes and happiness of motherhood.
Welcome to the Imaginarium. Don’t get lost in its philosophical labyrinths...
